Children's Summer Dance - Ages 3-6

Summer 2025 Children's Dance Workshops

All students must be at least 3 by the start of their workshop or classes. Limited spaces available.

Our very popular and fun week-long Children's Dance Summer Workshops include creative movement activities with a different entertaining and inspiring theme each week. Dancers will learn basic ballet, work on motor skills, play fun dance games, create theme-related crafts, have a story time and enjoy a snack time (bring your own). At the end of the week, parents are welcome to observe their dancer's class at the end of the day.

Themes & Dates

Princess 1 - June 9-13, 9am-Noon: This week you will come to believe that dreams do come true!  Put on your tiara and join your favorite Princesses for a week of royal fun and adventure. Be sure to sign-up early for this workshop, as it always very popular. Weekly Schedule TBA. 

Sea & Sand - June 23-27, 9am-Noon: Enjoy a week by the shore in our Greensboro Ballet dance studios! We'll explore, through movement and crafts, everything magical about the ocean, sea creatures, pirates and mermaids. Weekly Schedule:  M-Intro,Tu-Mermaids, W-Sharks & Sea Creatures, Th-Pirates, F-Beach Day. 

Flowers & Fairies - July 7-11, 9am-Noon: This lovely workshop includes discovering the wonder of glittering fairies and beautiful dancing flowers. Put on your fairy wings, grab your magic wand, and come ready to fly thru this magical week of summer fun.  Weekly Schedule: M-Intro, Tu-Tinkerbell, W-Waltz of the Flowers, Th-Fairy Godmother, F-Sugar Plum Fairy

Sugar Plum Fairy - July 14-18, 9am-Noon: It will feel like Christmas in July with this workshop based on the most famous character of the most famous ballet story in the world, The Nutcracker. Explore movement and dance with the characters from this festive ballet, and the sparkling Sugar Plum Fairy of course, as she welcomes young Clara to her magical kingdom. Weekly Schedule: M-Intro, Tu-Clara & Friends, W-Journey Through the Snow, Th-Sweets & Dolls, F-In the Flower Garden.

Superheros - July 21-25, 9am-Noon: Back by popular demand! Out of this world fun for boys and girls ready to stop evil and save the day. Costumes are welcome to help put our campers into character. Join Spidey & his Friends, Batman, Wonder Woman, Ladybug & Cat Noir, and more as they run, jump and "fly" through a week of action-packed fun.  Weekly Schedule: M-Intro, Tu-Batman & Batgirl, W-Spidey & Friends, Th-DC Heros, F-Ladybug & Cat Noir.

Frozen - July 28-August 1, 9am-Noon: Take a break from the Summer heat with this "coolest" of camps. Run, skip and twirl as if you were an icy Princess or sparkling Queen dancing across a frozen kingdom. Weekly Schedule:  M-Intro Tu- Snowflakes, W-Crystal Crowns, Th-Royal Sisters, F-Olaf & Bruni

Wizard of Oz - August 4-8, 9am-Noon: Join us this week for our first ever Wizard of Oz summer workshop as we twirl, leap and tip-toe over the Rainbow! Join Dorothy as she meets friends and foes in the merry old land of Oz as we imagine this classic tale as a ballet story.  Weekly Schedule: M-Intro, Tu-Glinda, W-Wicked Witch, Th-Dorothy's Friends, F-Land of Oz.

Princess 2 - August 11-15, 9am-Noon: These camps are always so popular that we just have to have two! A Princess can be anyone she wants to be and can do anything she puts her mind to. We will have a royal party with lots of Princesses. Feel free to wear your favorite Princess costumes all week long! Weekly Schedule TBA.

1 Week: $165, 2 Weeks: $310, 3 Weeks: $455, 4 Weeks: $600

5 Weeks or More:  $145/week

 

Summer 2025 Children's Dance Open Classes:

Dancers in these 4 or 6 Week Sessions attend class once a week including movement explorations, pre-ballet technique, creative play and learning of the basic dance steps. These classes are a great way to continue taking classes all year long and/or to try one of our Children's Dance classes with an eye towards the future.

Students must be able to attend at least 4 weeks of classes in order to enroll in these sessions.

Children's Dance classes for ages 3-6: 

Saturdays, 9:30am-10:15am

*Students must be the appropriate age by the date of their first class.

 Session 1: June 7-28       Session 2: July 12-August 16

Cost:  4 Weeks: $75, 6 Weeks: $105, All 10 Weeks: $170

Students must be able to attend all 4 or 6 weeks of classes in order to enroll in these sessions.

 

***Important Notes***

Children's Dance students are not required to wear dance clothes to our summer workshops or classes, though it is ideal. Children may wear any dance clothes, play clothes, and/or costumes (be sure you can still move/dance in your costume of choice). Students should bring their own water bottle/drink and a snack each day. The showing for parents on the last day is usually around 11:30am.
