College Professional Training Program
Are you a local college student at an advanced level of classical ballet training? Want to continue dancing while completing your higher education? Then join Greensboro Ballet's College Professional Training Program!
What you'll receive: Free advanced level ballet, contemporary, pointe, and jazz classes. The contemporary and jazz classes are optional, but 2-4 ballet/pointe classes must be taken each week in order to join this program. You will be given some comp tickets to each production you participate in, as well.
See our class schedule to see when we are holding this year's advancded ballet and pointe classes. Rehearsals for performances are some evenings (Tu & F) and Saturday afternoons. It may also be possible for you to take classes in the early afternoons and/or rehearse with our professional dancers. Some Sunday afternoon rehearsals may be needed, depending on your role(s) in the production.
What we ask of you: For each semester you train at Greensboro Ballet, you agree to perform in whatever performance we are producing at that time, which may include The Nutcracker in December or one of our spring productions (like Storybook Tales, Sleeping Beauty, Firebird, Coppelia, etc.).
You will need to take a placement or audition class to join in this program. Contact our School Director, Nina Munda, for class placement by emailing: schooldirector@greensboroballet.org . You may have to audition later for specific roles in these productions, if needed by the Director or choreographer.
