Step beyond the page and into a world where timeless tales are brought to life through the language of dance. In Storybook Tales, Greensboro Ballet invites you to experience a spellbinding collection of ballets—each a chapter from the imagination, memory, and creativity of magical storytellers.
At the heart of this season’s production is Act II of Giselle, a hauntingly beautiful jewel of the Romantic ballet era. Set in a moonlit forest where the ethereal Wilis—spirits of betrayed maidens—haunt the night, Giselle’s spirit returns not in vengeance, but in love. Floating through mist and moonlight, Giselle is a story of heartbreak and hope—reminding us that the most enduring magic is love that forgives.
Complementing this masterpiece will be a curated selection of additional story ballets—both classical and contemporary—soon to be announced. With Storybook Tales, Greensboro Ballet continues its tradition of elegance, awe, and timeless storytelling—perfect for ballet lovers and dreamers of all ages.
